My sister-in-law, Elisabeth Gilbert Desmond, created the fabulous illustrations for the blog.  She is a teacher, coach, athlete, mom and clearly a talented artist.  Lis scribbled on the envelope in which the illustrations came “P.S. the character is not you…” , but I think there is a remarkable resemblance and I couldn’t think of images that capture specific moments of this pregnant life the way hers do.
